What happens on the day of your appointment for a oven/cooker or BBQ clean and what we need from you...
Parking

As we carry oven parts to and from the van as well as our equipment it is important for us to be able to park as close to the property as possible for example outside your property on your driveway. We cannot use most public car parks!

For some parts of Chelmsford I can apply for a Trade Dispensation Parking Permit via MiPermit which costs no more than £6.60 (current price in August 2025) and that cost will be added to your invoice. This allows me to park in some restricted areas enabling me to park close by 99% of the time. I've only once had to cancel a job due to no parking at all!

If there is no suitable parking I will have to cancel the appointment and charge a cancellation fee as in the Terms and Conditions.

If your property is a relatively new build or you are aware of sat nav giving the wrong directions/location could you please give us the location via What3Words app which is free to download and use on android and iPhone stores.

On the day of the oven clean
We will complete a pre clean inspection of the oven, hob, or extractor which will take place to ensure we are aware of any faults if not declared beforehand. This includes removing the backplate (fan cover) to check the fan and heating up the oven utilising all the elements as well as turning on the rings on a electric hob or lighting the burners on a gas hob.

On the day of the clean please ensure we have access to a sink which is needed to rinse out our cloths and wash our hands - we do not clean racks and trays in the sink! We have a dedicated van mounted tank in the van for these.
Worktop/table space if available please - at least the size of your oven door would be perfect.
Where applicable we use cloths to cover and protect any cupboards under a built in oven as well as a water proof protective mat for the floor, towels and cloths will be used on worktops/table to prevent and marking - please let me know what areas I can use

On the day of a BBQ clean
On the day please ensure we have access to electric and some water up to 10 litres is often more than sufficient. This enables us to clean the BBQ in the least messiest way possible and wash our hands. The grill parts will be put in the dedicated van mounted tank in the van for a soak and clean

Van Mounted Tank
Please do not come close to the van especially if the lid is open on the dip tank, the cleaning solution inside the tank is very hot and will scold on contact hence why we wear protective heat resistant gloves

Pets and children
Now this will depend on your child and pet.
I would prefer young inquisitive children to be kept away for both their and our safety and supervised at all times and we kindly request that they don't touch the oven or cleaning equipment.
Pets, particularly dogs but also applies to cats, I am happy to make a fuss of them or hand them a treat if it helps build their confidence or to settle down. If the pet is calm and happy to keep their distance I'm quite happy to let them be. If the pet is 'needy', hyperactive or a grab and run cloth thief it would be preferred that they are safely secured in another room. Please also let me know about your door procedures as I don't want to risk your pet escaping!
